This is the best thing I’ve done, my own version of Chimichurri sauce.
Chimichurri sauce can be added on to every food. This is usually done in the blender but I do mine with a pilon. Every Latin person I know owns a pilon. When I was growing up there was no blender or food processor, we used a pilon. At that time it was made from wood. With the pilon it has a more hearty taste to it. You can taste all the ingredients.
Chimichurri can be added on to your Steak, chicken, fish, mozzarella and tomato and whatever you’re barbecuing.
1. Fresh Garlic
3. Olive Oil
8. Salt and Pepper to taste
Quick and simple chop up all of your ingredients. Add in the pilon or blender, when using the pilon I mash it up first and put it in a bowl, there I add my olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and my oregano.
When you put it in the blender you can add all of your ingredients in the blender which is quicker. Some also use a little bit of red wine vinegar also, but I don’t I love lemon and only do it with lemon. Another seasoning I use is Adobo which is a Spanish seasoning to taste.
And that is how quick and simple to do Chimichurri sauce.
